When an anarchist falls to his death from a police station window, the official story doesn’t quite add up and it quickly begins to unravel. An unpredictable figure known only as the Maniac – with a passion for theatre – hijacks the investigation, taking on wild disguises and dragging officers into a spiral of confusion, cover-ups, and theatrical absurdity. In this sharp, farcical piece of political theatre, the Maniac turns the inquiry into a chaotic spectacle, where nothing is quite what it seems – until a journalist arrives, determined to expose the truth and push the whole thing closer to collapse.
This performance plays out like a show within a show. The Maniac knows it’s his stage; the others are scrambling to keep up, unaware they’re part of his performance. With music inspired by punk and protest, and era-clashing costumes, this is a fast-paced, satirical dive into power, justice, and the stories we’re told to believe.
