Local folklore old and new, as told by you!
The team behind recent Norfolk Arts Awards ’24 finalist Horse Play bring an original one-woman show celebrating East Anglian folktales, as told by you. You’ve probably heard of Black Shuck, but who were the Hibbledibibs of Sheringham and did Norfolk people ever actually have webbed toes?! We interviewed people across local village communities and The Norwich Book Fair, and we will share their thoughts on local folklore in their own words…EXACTLY as it was said at the time. With stunning shadow imagery and an uplifting original score…think if Creature Comforts did a magical mystery tour of East Anglia and you’re somewhere close to the unique experience of LoreFolk.
Have you got a story to share? Sharing stories is what makes us human…it connects us to our landscape, history and each other. We’re asking our audiences to stick around after the show to share local, family and historical folklore. We can’t wait to hear from you!
