The “masters of G&S in small spaces” and award-winning Charles Court Opera, present their stylish, critically acclaimed production of the most loved of Gilbert and Sullivan’s comic masterpieces, The Mikado, to celebrate the company’s 20th anniversary year.

Containing familiar songs including “A wandering minstrel”, “I’ve got a little list” and “Three little maids from school”, this punchy and hilarious satire promises to be a treat for operetta lovers and newcomers alike.

The production is directed by the G&S specialist John Savournin, whose recent productions include HMS Pinafore and The Pirates of Penzance for Opera Holland Park, and is musically directed by the company’s musical director, David Eaton. A fresh young cast brings this masterpiece to life. Charles Court Opera is one of the leading chamber opera companies in the UK.

They are regularly collaborators with Opera Holland Park, have been a resident visiting company at the Iford Arts Festival and at the International G&S Festival.
