A new play about the post office scandal is coming to Suffolk in February, visiting both Theatre Royal Bury St Edmunds and New Wolsey Theatre in Ipswich as part of a national tour.

Commissioned by the University of Reading and presented by RABBLE Theatre, ‘Glitch - The True Story of the Post Office Scandal’ is an inspirational true story based on the experiences of sub-postmistress Pam Stubbs and her colleagues.

The play was created with help from Pam - who worked tirelessly to prove not just her own innocence in the Horizon scandal, but that of thousands of others - along with other sub-postmistresses and masters affected by the events, and key members of the legal process.

Toby Davies, Artistic Director and Founder of RABBLE Theatre, says: “We are very proud to be bringing Glitch to Suffolk. Although tragic, this is an inspiring, contemporary story of one woman’s courageous fight against deep corruption. We truly appreciate the powerful local relevance of the story, especially with the awful accusations directed at Ipswich postmaster Barry Capon, who worked at the Heath Road Post Office. Having worked with Pam, Seema Misra, Tracey Felstead and others, we are proud and determined to be helping keep the story in the public eye.”

The play is written by Zannah Kearns and directed by RABBLE associate artist, Gareth Taylor who has also enjoyed time at The New Wolsey with the acclaimed Curious Directive, of which he is a founding director.

“A powerful, emotional and fascinating story from the excellent RABBLE Theatre.” ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
